Three Cheers for the Red, White, and Blue

The Buffalo Bills’ first preseason game is today. That means it’s time for this household’s time-honored annual tradition (started last year) of the Switching of the Flags. Old Glory, which has been displayed on the house since Memorial Day weekend, comes down, and the Bills flag goes up. The latter won’t be taken down until after the Bills’ final game of the season, which I’m hoping will be on February 11, 2024.

You may ask yourself why I don’t just add a second bracket to the house and fly both flags at once. It’s because I don’t like to mix church and state.

From red, white, and blue…
…to red, white, and blue.
Folded into a triangle for storage, just like I learned back in Cub Scouts.
