According to WordPress, today marks the 77th consecutive day that content has been posted on this blog. Unfortunately, this post marks the end of a.k.a. V.J. as a daily enterprise — at least until next May.
The Fall 2023 semester is just a week away at the time of this writing. I’ll be teaching two classes on top of working at my full-time job. With those time constraints, I need to scale back on my post output. It remains to be seen what sort of a cadence will be workable going forward, but I expect it will be one to three posts per week.

The topics of future posts will likely shift a little bit as well. The blog will necessarily become less of travelogue, as I won’t be out and about as much. There will probably be more written about marketing and advertising, since I’ll be immersed in teaching those subjects and they’ll be top-of-mind. But, as always, I won’t really know what subject matter will emerge from my keyboard until I sit down to write. Approaching this project as an open-ended grab-bag is the sole reason that I was able to maintain a daily pace for two and a half months. I will continue to embrace the lack of thematic direction as a feature rather than a bug.
Thanks to everyone who has stopped by this space at some point over the past 77 days. I hope you will continue to check in from time to time to see what musings the busy fall inspires.
