Birdwatching

In case you were wondering, I can confirm that, as of September 5, 2023, the Baltimore Orioles still own the best record in the American League.

In related news, Griffin and I will be traveling to Baltimore next weekend to catch a crucial late-season game against the hated Tampa Bay Rays. I haven’t been to Camden Yards since 1992, the year it first opened. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen an Orioles team this good, and I may not live to see one again, so it seems that there’s no time like the present to go see the team in person.

Watching your baseball team play meaningful games after Labor Day is a beautiful thing. Taking a father-son trip to watch them at the stadium promises to be pretty great.
